I am tremendously blessed and proud to be the father of 3 amazing kids and husband of 20+ years to a beautiful and brilliant woman.
It is because of their love, support and numerous sacrifices over the years that I have a happy and fulfilling life. They are the motivation and inspiration behind this site and what I hope to accomplish with it.
I am also one of the many millions of people in this country that live with depression. To the best of my recollection, depression has been a part of my life for nearly 4 decades. This also serves as a driving force for me to build this blog into something of substance and my desire to use it as an effective tool to help people with whatever struggles they may be experiencing.
During the day I work as a technical professional at Eastern Michigan University. For 3 to 4 evenings per week, I am also a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and coach. I enjoy both of these roles very much as they allow me to work with students of various ages and backgrounds that are looking to accomplish very similar things – improving their lives through education, experience, and hard work.
What they seek also represents what I intend to be the main message and underlying theme for BlogJitsu.com. I hope to educate, entertain, inspire, and empower my readers with frequent updates and high-quality information.
Thank you sincerely for visiting and I encourage you to reach out to me regarding my content or anything you might have questions about.
